I am a figurative sculptor who loves telling the stories of women and men who have risen above adversity to make the world a better and more beautiful place. They are heroic and the tales of their lives are timeless. I don’t even begin sculpting until I have done hours upon hours of research. Because sculpture is three dimensional, once I do get to work, I love weaving details from each person’s life throughout a work of art as a way of honoring their legacy.

These small, preliminary models allow for experimentation with form, gesture, and composition before the final piece is cast. Each maquette captures the raw essence of an idea, providing a tactile exploration of movement and emotion. Though smaller in scale, they carry the same emotional depth as the finished sculptures, offering an intimate look at the early stages of development.
